I had no idea and used StackOverflow and had a nice gentlemen by the user handle of -martineau help me.

AES-256 is a version of the Advanced Encryption Standard—a specification for the encryption of electronic data—that uses a 256-bit key. SHA-256 is a member of the Secure Hash Algorithm family of cryptographic hash functions which uses a 256-bit block size. A cryptographic hash function is a hash function which is considered practically impossible to invert, or recreate the input data from its hash value alone.
